NFL player Antonio Cromartie buys his mum a home then evicts her from it

NFL player, free agent Antonio Cromartie, who played for the Jets before he was released in February bought a house for his mum in 2007 and was maintaining the upkeep of the home until in February this year when he told his mum she would have to start paying $700 mortgage for the house.

But his mum refused to pay the mortgage saying that Cromartie was worth millions and that the house was supposed to be a gift, hence she didn't see the sense it made for her to pay anything for it. Because his mother refused to pay, he sent her an eviction notice through his lawyers on Thursday which said she had to be out of the house by August 15th unless she paid $2310 in back payment.
.

According to TMZ Cromartie’s  sister, LaQuinta Gardner the family is pissed at Cromartie for asking their mother to pay rent for the house that was supposed to be a gift.

Gardner says she has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her mother.

Cromartie's rep however said:
"His mother has been paying the mortgage on the house since 2011. That's the deal they have in place." "It wasn't until June that she refused to make any payments."
The rep says Antonio's children are his priority financially and that he believes his mother and her husband have enough money to support themselves.

Cromartie signed a four-year, $32 million deal to return to the Jets. On February 22, 2016, the Jets released Cromartie after just one season.

He welcomed a  set of twins, Jynx and J'Adore, on May 8, 2016, after he already had a vasectomy.

He has 12 children in total from 8 women.
