4 Suspects arrested Over Attempt to Attack and Vandalize Residence of Former Bauchi Governor, Isa Yuguda (Photos)



The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four criminal conspiracy, inciting disturbance, thuggery and mischief.

According to a statement issued Thursday, December 1, by Acting Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, on November 24th, at about 20:45 hrs, intelligence report at the disposal of Bauchi State Police Command revealed plan by some miscreants to attack and vandalize the residence of former Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency MAL Isa Yuguda (Matawallen Bauchi) along Sir Kashim Ibrahim way Bauchi, shortly after he arrived the State.



As part of the security measures taken in order to safeguarded the former governor and to forestall any breach of Law and order in the State, the Command immediately mobilised men and fortified all the entries and exit points leading to his house in view of the prevailing Security challenges in the State.





However, on the 25/11/2016 at about 09:15 hrs, the threat was attempted when hoodlums numbering about 30 riding on motorcycles stormed the Area shouting and smashing vehicles windscreens.

Meanwhile, Police Patrol teams stationed in the Area dispersed the miscreants and arrested Four suspects as follows:

1.Adamu Abubakar male and 27 years of Danjuma Goje Street Bauchi.

2.Isiaku Munkaila male and 27 years of Danjuma Goje street,

3.Nura Garba male and 27 years of Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Bauchi and

4.Sadik Salisu male and 27 years of Unguwan Dawaki.





Exhibits recovered include two motorcycles used by the suspects, two vehicles with damaged windscreens.

All the four suspects arrested were charged to Chief Magistrate Court 13 on the 28/11/2016 while efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing accomplices.
