Two men arraigned in court for defiling 10-year-old boy in Kano

Two suspects, Labaran Abdullahi, 25, and Sani Umar, 35, wereon FridayOctober 28th arraigned before a Magistrates' Court in Kano on a two-count charge of unnatural offence and public nuisance, for allegedly having anal intercourse with a 10-year-old boy.
The men, who reside in Kano, were caught having anal sex with the boy, who lives close to them, at night. The prosecutor said that the victim was rushed to Waziri Shehu Gidado Hospital Kano for treatment.
The Nation reports that the prosecutor, Anthony Edward, told the court that one Sagir Muhammad and two members of Vigilante Group reported the case to Bachirawa Police Division Kano, onFeb. 10. The two suspects however pleaded not guilty to the charges but were remanded in prison custody while the case was adjourned toNovember 29for hearing
