Kim K was reportedly paid $700,000 to take selfies with guests at an exclusive Hamptons party

Kim Kardashian West was paid $700,000 for an appearance at a party in the Hamptons over the weekend and the only thing she had to do was take selfies with guests.
According to the New York Post's Page Six, the organizers confirmed that the reality TV star was paid for the Revolve Hamptons House party in Water Mill, LI,on Saturday.
'Kim received the sum to pose for selfies with 'influencers' at the exclusive bash for just over an hour, after being flown in from Los Angeles by private jet.'

Nigerian journalist Didi Akinyelure wins BBC World News Komla Dumor Award

Nigerian journalist Didi Akinyelure has won the second BBC World News Komla Dumor Award.
Akinyelure, a business news anchor with CNBC Africa, will start a three-month placement at BBC in London in September as part of her prize. She has been with CNBC Africa since 2013.
The award, established in honour of Komla Dumor, a presenter for BBC World News, who died aged 41 in 2014, seeks to "celebrate African journalism and reward exceptional talent," BBC says.
Josephine Hazelet, one of the judges who selected Akinyelure said she particularly excelled in telling business stories "which was an area Komla was also passionate about"
Akinyelure said Dumor was someone she admired. "He told the African story with so much passion for the continent, giving a balanced view and inspiring so many." The first Komlar Dumor Award was won by Nancy Kacungira, a television anchor for Kenya’s KTN television channel.
