The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has appointed CSP Jimoh Olohundare Moshood as the substantive Force Public Relations Officer, taking over from Ag. CP. Don N. Awunah who has since been posted as Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command.

CSP Jimoh Moshood hails from Ilorin in Kwara State. He holds a B.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.

He was once a Police PRO, FCT Abuja, the position which earned him Commissioner of Police commendations for diligent and excellent performance.

The new PRO, Jimoh Moshood is an indigene of Ilorin Township in Ilorin South LGA of Kwara State who holds a B.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State. He was once a Police Public Relations Officer, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He attended several courses within and outside the Country few of which are Crime Prevention Of Korea Police, At Police Training Institute, Seoul South Korea; Training Course on Anti-Hijacking Techniques and Tactics for Developing Countries at Special Police Academy, Beijing, China.

He is a member of Nigeria Institutes of Public Relations, member of Africa Business School, Abuja and Associate Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.

The officer has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police. Until his recent appointment he was the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer FHQ Abuja.
He has since assumed duty as the Force Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Police Force.

A black woman of Nigerian decent has become the first black woman to have two white children. The probability of this happening once has been calculated to be less than one in a million.

Catherine Howarth, a Financial analyst who is married to Richard Howarth believed to have a recessive gene which resulted to the birth of her son, Jonah who was completely white and had blue eyes.

She was completely stunned when she gave birth to her second child and discovered she was also completely white.

According to her, when she gave birth to her first child, the genetic specialist said it was almost impossible for her as an African to have blue eyed child "When Jonah was born, a genetic specialist said he was a one-in-a-million baby. He said it was extraordinary with my African background that I'd had a child with blue eyes and pale skin. He calculated the possibility of it happening again was less than one in a million. So when Sophia was born with white skin and blue eyes I was more than taken back with shock. It seems the odds of it happening twice are millions-to-one. No-one has heard of a black mum having two white babies one after the other".

Catherine who is a Nigerian says she has no knowledge of white genes in her family. "My parents were from Nigeria and as far back as anyone can recall my family have all been black. The only explanation seems to be there must have been a white gene in my family that has remained dormant for years until now. And now it seems to be very dominant.' Despite the initial shock, the couple are delighted with their miracle children".

President Donald Trump has fired the acting US attorney general, Sally Yates, after she questioned the legality of his immigration ban on some targeted countries.

Sally, who had been appointed under Barack Obama, earlier ordered justice department lawyers not to enforce the president's executive order.

Dana Boente, US attorney for Eastern District of Virginia, replaced her as acting Attorney General.

The new acting Attorney General has directed the department to enforce President Trump's order.

According to BBC, the White House said Ms Yates had "betrayed" the department.

Trump's order temporarily banned nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US, and sparked street protests in the US and abroad.

In a letter, Ms Yates had said she was "not convinced" that the president's order was lawful.

"As long as I am the acting attorney general, the department of justice will not present arguments in defence of the Executive Order," she had said.

Nigerian Solders Brutalizes Nollywood Actress and Make Her Get Hospitalized

Beautiful actress Jewel Infinity has cried out after she was left hospitalized, following a beating she received from an army officer in Rivers State. Read the story as shared by her:

"Please my good people, I'm sincerely calling out for justice against violence. I am hospitalized right now. I'm in serious pain and agony; in between life and death.I boarded a siena vehicle leaving Port Harcourt for Onitsha. We were pulled over by some soldiers.

One of them, SULAIMAN OLAMILEKAN, began to molest me. He accused me of discussing him, where I was only having a friendly debate with the lady beside me. I explained to him, but he ignored me and demanded I disembark, kneel down and apologise to him.

I told him I did nothing wrong to apologise. He started hitting me with a stick. The other soldiers confiscated and broke my phone, to prevent me from taking pictures. When I told them that I'd no longer proceed with the journey, they refused.

The driver drove off to some distance away from there, and I alighted and returned to Port harcourt and went straight to the Barracks to report him. His superiors pleaded that I shouldn't take the case any further; that he'd be remanded for one month, which i feel is not enough justice.

He was summoned and he confessed that i didn't do anything to have warranted his cruel action, that he was in a very bad mood. He begged me to forgive him and not take things seriously. Right now i am bedridden.

The doctor said I'm running temperature due to my high blood pressure. I am in serious pain and rendered partially immoveable. His facebook I.D is Sulaiman Olamilekan.

Man U coach Jose Mourinho has revealed he snubbed big money at Chinese Super League clubs to remain at Manchester United, but he won't criticize players who decide to leave top European clubs to join Chinese clubs due to their high wages. Secondary School Result Holder Get Employed in Kogi State as Medical Officer

Drama ensued at the venue of the Kogi State Staff Screening Appeal on Monday 30th January, when a lady, Alalonu Vivian Chinyere Salawu, confessed how one-time Deputy Governor of the State, Dr. Philip Salawu, approved her appointment as Medical Officer on Grade Level 13 Step 6 despite having only a Secondary School Certificate with four credits.

Interesting, the lady is not from Kogi, she hails from Imo State.

The gory case failed to escape the eagle eyes of members of the Screening Appeal Committee, who raised eyebrows over the lady's case.

Immediately the anomaly was discovered, she was referred to the Quality Assurance Team of the Committee for further interrogation. It was before the team that the cat was let out of the bag.

She said: “The former Deputy Governor, Dr Philip Salawu, directed his Personal Assistant to write the application on my behalf and I was asked to sign. Salawu immediately recommended me for employment as Medical Officer, a directive which was immediately carried out by the Permanent Secretary.

"I was taking the salary to the wife of the former Deputy Governor's wife through her Personal Assistant while they gave me only 15,000 naira every month. When they were about to leave government, Salawu quickly directed I be converted to a Clerical Officer and I was posted out of his office to the Office of the Head of Service".

Chinyere claimed to be married to the younger brother of Grace Salawu, wife of the former Deputy Governor.

Addressing newsmen at the Screening Appeal Centre, a member of the Committee and the Director General on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Kingsley Fanwo, said the Screening exercise has been quite revealing.

“We need to applaud the previous committee for doing a great job. The Screening Exercise was aimed at saving the service from imminent collapse and to save the lives of the people. Imagine a secondary school certificate holder employed as Medical Officer. They almost killed this state. For her to come to appeal shows the audacity of fraud.

“These are the people castigating government without telling the world the fraud they have been perpetrating. Governor Yahaya Bello is poised to ensure his reforms in the civil service sails through".

It would be recalled that the State Government decided to give affected workers a window of justice to ventilate their complaints and receive fair hearing.

Cases of certificate forgery, age alteration and unexplained cash inflow into civil servants' accounts have been discovered.

Meet The Men That Brings Pump Action Rifles Into Nigeria (Photos)

The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) intercepted 661 pieces of pump-action rifles from China, concealed with steel doors and other merchandise goods, which came in through Lagos port.

Pictured are the suspects; Mr Oscan Okafor (an importer), Mr Mahmud Haruna (a clearing agent), Mr Sadique Mustapha (accompanying the consignment to its destination).

Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Alli, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on Monday in Lagos.



Col. Alli said that the Federal Operations Unit, while on patrol, intercepted a Mark truck with registration number BUG 265 XG conveying a 40ft container with the number; PONU/825914/3 along Mile 2 Apapa Road, Lagos.

The comptroller-general said the truck was immediately taken to F.O.U. premises for physical examination and 49 boxes containing 661 pieces of pump action rifles concealed with steel doors were revealed.

Tragedy: Motor Accident on Akure-Owo Road Killed Two Peoples and Injured Many

The Federal Road Safety Corps has advised against obstruction, overloading and over speeding following an accident which occurred on Friday, January 27, on Akure -Owo (ilu Abo). The accident involving a Toyota bus with an inscription "Nothing Pass God' and a Mack trailer left two persons dead and eight others seriously injured. The victims were taken to State Specialist Hospital, Akure.

Woman Who Throws 5yrs Old Child in Front of an Oncoming Train Been Arrested by Police

According to Police, a 5-year-old girl had to be rescued after a random 20 year old woman who seemed to be mentally ill threw her onto the railroad tracks as a NJ Transit train was approaching in Burlington. Autumn Matacchiera of Hainesport has been charged with attempted murder.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, a NJ Transit bus driver alerted Police officers who were on patrol were to a suspicious activity on the NJ Transit Light Rail platform, Burlington Town Station.

Officers responded immediately and found Matacchiera, based on the description provided, on the platform ramp.

As they approached her, Police say she grabbed a 5-year-old girl, who was standing next to her mother and threw the child onto the railroad tracks as a train was approaching the station.

The officers immediately jumped in front of the train to signal it to stop, while the child was quickly removed from the tracks by the mother's boyfriend.

The 5 year old victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Burlington County where she was treated for cuts and bruises and then released to her mother.
Matacchiera was arrested and then taken to Lourdes Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation. She is in police custody.

Police say Matacchierea did not know the 5-year-old girl or her family.
